Jordan/Pippen vs. James/Wade

Sure he has. Kobe basically personally tanked the 2004 finals because he was in a snit-fit over what he perceived (probably correctly) as preferential treatment for Shaq.


LeBron and Wade are, right now, at about the stage of their careers Jordan and Pippen were when they won their first title.

Of course, Jordan and Pippen had to wait for the Pistons, Lakers and Celtics to get out of the way first.

Like LBJ and D-Wade have to wait for the Spurs, Lakers and Celtics to get out of the way (with an asterisk for the ring DW has already squeezed in there).

Jordan won his first title in his seventh season (sixth if you throw out his second season in which he only played 18 games). It was Pippen's fourth season.

LeBron and Wade are each in their eighth season.

Jordan would match up against Wade, Pippen against James.

I'll take Jordan and Pippen any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Also, the Jordan-Pippen duo emerged naturally through the draft, LeBron and Wade combined due to the fact that LeBron did not feel confident enough in his abilities to win a title without riding someone else's coattails.

As a competitor, could you ever, in a million years, imagine Jordan pulling a bitch move like LeBron did? Never, because Jordan was a much more intense competitor and a ton more confident in his ability.

So, to break that part of it down: Lebron = bitch that needed help; Jordan = Alpha dog that was all the help he needed.

If Jordan and Pippen were going to play LeBron and Wade, I could see LeBron whining until Pippen said, "Okay, fuck it LeBron. You can play with Jordan and I'll take Wade."
