How did you NOT get to do a story with Eva Mendes?

Conflict of interest. Too close of a personal relationship.

 

Jones says the interviews with celebrities are like torture -- or maybe Tom Junod said that and Jones repeated it, I'm not sure.

In any event, such a story would've gotten in the way of Jones being passed out drunk in the back of McCain's bus.

Anyone see the photos of Mendes AP sent a couple weeks ago?

She's doing one of those PETA ads, saying "I'd rather be naked than wear fur" or something like that.

The photo was of her standing in front of a giant photo of the ad. The caption said "Eds: Note nudity"

Believe me, I did.
