    Yes, Jake Peavy is going to the White Sox, pending his approval of the trade. Jon Heyman uses Twitter to break the story, which might be more interesting than the trade.

    Well, I sure am glad Jim Hendry cleared all that salary space by dumping Mark DeRosa on the Indians so he could afford to trade for Jake Peavy.

    I really enjoy watching Aaron Miles play second base. He brings a lot of suck to the Cubs' offense.

    Saw the same thing, cept not long before that, he was counting on the Cubs or Brewers to get him. Good work by him, though, to keep on it.

    First tweet from U-T regarding this trade was made late last night.

    Too bad Heyman didn't break anything. The U-T already had the news.

    DTGDTN. ::)

    Wow. Story broken by the same Tom Krasovic who is on death-watch at the U-T.

    But that's right. It's only their No. 2 beat. I see why the U-T doesn't need a Padres writer... ::)

    According to Sportsline, Peavy blocked the trade.
