Joe Sheehan vs. BBWAA

I'll have to concede that I was being a little too simple-minded. It's not like it's just a cool kids club. There are things on the line - MVP votes and so forth, that are recognized by MLB.

In the local chapter, the manuevering they do to get people in they like and keep people out they don't like is shameful for a group of supposed adults.

 

BBWAA logic:

Norm MacLean gets a Hall of Fame vote.

Vin Scully doesn't.

 

Imprimatur?

I might actually get off my ass and grab a dictionary for that one.

 

I never saw why any baseball announcer with 20+ years didn't get a vote.
