So that other people don't think that there's something to what this wacko says, and ends up causing something that hurts the country worse than it already is.

The press, to its lasting shame, pays a great deal of attention to him. Tents! Baloney sandwiches! Tough on crime! So he's an opinion leader when the time comes to vote for or against things like Arizona SB 1070.

He's a celebrity creation of the nitwit media.

There are a lot of cruel cowards in this country, and they are naturally fans of loudmouthed bullies like this idiot. He's getting weirder to set himself up as a victim of persecution should the Justice Department indict his sorry ass.
I love how in Arizona crabby old white people who move in from Iowa and Wisconsin to run out the clock on government programs are the salt of the earth, but brown people who move there to make a living through hard work are loathed criminals.

Do you have any sources about all of this(abuse of jail inmates, hatred of Latinos, intentionally misspent 100 million dollars). Not saying I don't believe you, just want to read up on it.

If anyone else has sources to prove this feel free to share them with me, please.

The East Valley Tribune won a Pulitzer for its look into the cost of Arpaio's immigration raids.

Concerning the reports of sexual abuse his deputies just decided to ignore.

There are a trove of links in the wikipedia page devoted to how awful this man is

    He is a bad man.

Thanks, Az. Don't know much about this guy.

Those links cover a good range of the issues.

I've covered the guy for 17 years. When he's under investigation and starting to feel heat, he breaks out something like yesterday's news conference.

Here's all you need to know about yesterday's event: Arpaio and the "key investigator" both insisted they did this whole thing to help the president and put the whole "issue" to bed, but were SHOCKED to discover questions about the documents. They said repeatedly there was absolutely nothing political about any of this. They uploaded video of the "evidence" to YouTube. The name of the YouTube account that posted the "evidence" is "Tea Party Power Hour."

Thinking of hiring a dyslexic attorney in order to sue Arpaio:

Here's a point-by-point debunking of what Arpaio said yesterday:

One point most of those people who say it's a forgery miss is that they can talk about layers and photoshop and all that minutia all they want, as long as the Hawaii DOH vouches for the document's authenticity, that's all that matters. By definition, it cannot be a forgery.

Not quite right. A document can still be a forgery even if an agency states it isn't. Still doesn't change the fact Arpaio should be rotting away in federal prison.

But not if the agency that issued it says it isn't.
