I heard his name mentioned by someone in the know a few days ago. And then he spotted was all over the campus yesterday. The other name being mentioned heavily is Bobby Johnson. This is not a premier job, but I'd still personally rather see Dorrell get it, for a variety of reasons.

Bobby Johnson withdraws his name from consideration ... Dorrell interviews for job.

And while I can see how posting the job can be funny, it SOP at Duke. I believe the school did the same for the women's basketball job after Gail Goestenkors packed her bags for a bigger payday in Austin.

Well, they've interviewed a Carolina grad -- Grambling coach Rod Broadway -- for the job. Of course he used to be an assistant coach at Duke.

Actually, it's routine at many universities. At some state universities, I'm pretty sure posting job openings -- even for head football coach -- is required by law.

    But at a private school?

What can I say. They're curious, and maybe a little desperate.

What are the odds Petrino sent his resume in? :D

The N/A under education caught my eye, too. Isn't a masters degree required for most head-coaching gigs? Just curious.

    Not at Central Florida.

    Would they consider Ty Willingham?

I'd win the national title coaching Duke's football program.
