Doesn't matter to me who's paying him; I'm not watching or listening. When I come across Rome or Cowherd, the station gets changed — immediately, no exceptions.

We'd all have better lives if we kept to this. Add in dopey cable talk shows.

I don't think the two are even remotely similar, but both definitely have passionate followings.

Based on my limited dealings with both, Rome is nothing like his radio persona, and Cowherd is exactly like his.

And yet, that's my exact reaction to both too.

I do have to change the channel as soon as Rome starts taking calls, so I can relate to that...

Agreed, think Cowherd's worse by just a nose.

I can take Rome for a segment or two.
But Cowherd gets dumped right away.

It got extra-easy to ignore Cowherd up here in New York's 518. Our ESPN station got knocked off the air -- along with the inane local yakker.

It was also nearly 20 years ago.
Bush league? Sure, I'll give you that. But at what point is he allowed to outgrow it?

As I said . . . it served its purpose, to him. It got him attention, and gave him a time in the spotlight amongst the thousand clowns, jumping up and down, looking to get noticed.

I remember being disappointed Chris Evert didn't whip his ass.
