Jim Everett - Hall of Fame or no?

What happened to this guy in the 90s?
Late 80s he was one of the top 3-4 QB's in the NFL.
The Oilers actually wasted a No. 3 pick on Everett when they already had HOFer Moon in tow.
The 1990s Rams declined badly despite good years from Everett.
He also had good years for bad Saints teams in 1994 and 95.
You might be able to make an argument for Everett, but more people want to remember what happened with Jim Rome.

That would have made Everett a first-ballot pick by acclamation.

 

As someone who grew up where Purdue is and had a family friend who knew him well I can say that it was not staged.
