    This is hard to read. Just so hard to read. I am struggling to bring myself past the photos in the second part. In reading Gloria's first quotes, I never would have thought she was only 11.

    Jerry Brewer has found that delicate balance between conveying the pathos of this story and reporting the facts.

    Part 7 of the series appeared today. If you've been reading the blog updates, it's not a whole lot of new information. She's still hanging in, but it still doesn't look good.

  9. The kid's fighting for her life from ravenous cancer, and she's more worried about her siblings being jealous of the attention she receives.

    God bless that little girl, and her entire family.
