Just came on to post that same thing. A good friend of mine has lived on the South Side for years -- there are bad parts, but no different than anywhere else.

And my condolences to Hudson's family -- terrible, awful story.

It is fair to say that the old Hudson neighborhood, Englewood, is not one of those nice areas.

CNN reporting the nephew's body might have been found in the missing SUV.

Can we merge this with the death penalty thread? Whoever did this should be killed.

Killing a defenseless 7-year-old isn't going to make this bastard any friends in the hole. Whatever happens to this miserable fuck wouldn't be enough justice. Put that bastard in gen pop and let "justice" take its course.

    Indeed, sad.
Slick's definition of justice is the one thing that's more fitting than the death penalty.

Entertainment Tonight probably has more staffers on this story than the local media.

    MSNBC is reporting that, too:

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Just very sickening and sad.

AP moved an alert 10 minutes ago saying the same thing

It's confirmed as the nephew, according to CNN.
