    I watched it for the first time -- complete and unedited -- a few months ago, and I've got it memorized now. Every time it's on the set, I'm in front of it.

    What I want to know is whether they paid for the privelege or just say, "What? Just because we play a song that happened to be in your movie too, and happened to shot at that same high school, and happened to call it Shermer, and happened to do some of the same dance moves -- it was an homage!"

    I can't imagine a high school kid today watching that ad and thinking that JC Penney would be a viable option for back-to-school shopping. That was 30 seconds of total dorkitude (and a waste of a good song).
