Most misleading line you'll read in NBA copy this year:

"The classic also saw Nets point guard Jason Kidd tie Wilt Chamberlain for third place with 78 career triple-doubles."

Blocked shots weren't an official statistic until the early 70s.

Chamberlain had dozens of 10+ block games.

 

Steals also weren't an official stat until the 1973-74 season. Wilt probably had several quadruple-double games, as did the Big O. Hell, maybe one or both of them had a quintuple-double at one time or another. We'll never know for sure.

If Kidd really wants to impress us, let's see him do a double-triple-double or record a triple-double in nine straight games like the Stilt did.
