Not many people in Ohio care too much about this game. No buzz at all. Meida hype = car dealers trying to unload SUVs. No one's buying it.

 

Does that mean if Ohio State loses, folks can claim "they just didn't care if they played this game or not?"

 

so OSU isn't trying? no wonder its not up by 14 by now.

OSU's effort has nothing to do with the fans attachment or detachment to the game.

I'm sure there's plenty of interest in this game in Columbus. But statewide, the shoe has become scuffed.

 

why? because OSU sucks?

OSU does not suck. But the game doesn't mean anything. The team hasn't been that exciting to watch this year. And after the gatherings and letdowns from OSU football and basketball championships the past couple years, not much interest in more of the same. Fiesta took OSU b/c it expected a lot of Buckeye fans to travel; even that was subdued this year. Yes, the economy plays into it, but you betcha they would go if this were a big game.

Perhaps the inattention is helping the Buckeyes. Less pressure, better play?

The only thing oozing more than the Pac-10 spunk from the corners of your mouth is the irony of you using the term "fanboi" to describe somebody else.

 

Except for one, bowl games are glorified exhibition games.
