Un-kudos, if there is such a thing, to Fox for thinking its name is an acronym, or acting as if it's so important it should be in all caps anyway.

I've always thought the same thing. Fudge 'em.

He called Georgia "the Gators" in last year's Sugar Bowl. I mean...really.

This is looking like it's going to be a day of many regrets for Ole Miss.

    And the rout is on.

If conventional wisdom is correct, it should of course be a rout. Texas Tech was a top-five team talking about a national championship, ranked No. 2 in mid-November. Was Ole Miss ever ranked in the top 20 this year until the most recent polls?

Nope. Midway through the year the Rebs, despite the WTF win over Florida, were sitting at 3-4.

Ole Miss beat the best team in the best conference on the road so conventional wisdom is out the window.

Ah, so you got my point about conventional wisdom. ;)

(Trying to liven things up here!)

Nobody told that Texas Tech running back that nobody cares about this game. Man, on that carry he looked like he really wants it.

Greetings from the Cotton Bowl Stadium press box.

(That goes double for you, JD.)

It was a rather inauspicious start for the Confederates. They have pulled out some trickery however and now trail 14-7.

Col. Reb was quoted as sayin', "This puppy ain't over."

He's right. Mike Wallace just scored a touchdown. Nice pass by Snead.

    Could have a lotta points.
