    Free sandwich with drink? The rest of the menu is not exactly gourmet, but free is free. And we live two blocks from the nearest Jacks.

    Jack in the Box has made some significant upgrades to its menu in the last 10 years. Their regular burgers are nasty as ever, and the fries aren't great. But their specialty items are great fast food. They've had McD's playing catch-up on that front.

    I still prefer Sonic to JITB any day of the week. I'm thankful I live in a state and a town where they are spaced out about every two miles.
