    Ewe can be a cereal misspeller and still fuel spellcheck in to thinking your god at it.

    The Mercury News ran a long piece on refugee camps a few years ago. At one of them, the stench hanging above the camp was palatable. I've got to believe that one was actually suggested by spell check.

    Spellcheck doesn't like our TV writer's last name ("Jicha").

    It suggests we change it to "Jihad"

    You can't use spellcheck on a page proof.

    That was always my favorite part of Quark: Spell check document.

    As for spelling, if you're not good at it in general, you're still gonna make mistakes even with spell check. It's preferrable to have a copy editor who isn't dependent upon spell check.

    Since you have spellcheck available to you, you should use it. By no means, however, should you rely solely on it. That's lazy and fraught with peril.
