    Arsenio was syndicated, not a Fox show (except when he finished Joan Rivers' show)

    I could see him doing well. I've listened to a few of his "Here's the thing" podcasts and he's a good interviewer.

    It would be a shame if he stopped acting.

    One of the rumors a few years back (THIS IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN) was that CBS wanted Bruce Willis to replace Letterman when he retires. Apparently Bruce guest-hosted for a week when Dave was going through one of his heart deals and was quite good.

    CBS could actually afford to pay Willis enough to make it worth his while, but as long as he can still draw at the box office, that's never going to happen.
