Gil Hodges belongs in the Hall of Fame.

And, as always, Zeke makes his impassioned, eloquent and logical argument for Blyleven.
And I still think Bert just misses.

For me, the dominance argument is settled by the K numbers, which are fan-freaking-tastic.

Now, what he didn't do was pitch for many dominant teams. But if you agree that striking guys out is at least one measure of dominance, I think he sails.

Just me, though. I get plenty of naysayers, every time.

One of these years, though, he's gonna make it.

Torre would be based just as a player right now right?

He couldn't be considered as a manager until he retires from that?

Just went out to the mailbox and my ballot was there. I await the rest of this thread with great interest.
PS: Rickey, Raines, Rice are my three certifieds. The pitchers discussed on this board most often present their annual quandary.
Good arguments pro and con weighed and appreciated.

    Three good choices Michael.

If my math is right, Harold Baines keeps staying on the ballot by such a slim margin that if only one or two voters changed their mind this year, he'd drop off. So is this the year that happens, or is he going to be a 5.6, 5.7 percent guy for another decade?

I hate Rickey Henderson with every fiber of my being, but even I think he deserves to get into the Hall of Fame.
