That, sad to say, is one of the tradeoffs for a better software system, not being able to do the April Fool's name changes.

 

True. But it would be nice if Webby gave us a one-day reprieve, to end at Midnight EST tomorrow ... err ... today.

 

In theory, you could do it but it would be a pain in the ass for the admins as they got hit with 100s of new registrations today of regulars trying to sign-up with a new screen name using an alternate e-mail address.

 

Well, I'm sure it wouldn't be hundreds, but it would be quite a few. But I wish it were possible; it's something I can take credit for on here (21 --mainly--and I got it going on the spur of the moment back in 2004).

 

Wow, the supply lines for that fun with the quote function are long and nearly impossible to sustain.

 

The April Fools name changes were fun. My favorite April Fools name was Brandon Walsh Ace Journalist.

Alas, I can't say I blame the administration for the changes that negated our fun.

 

I'm honestly asking if a 24-hour reprieve is even possible. If so, can Webby oblige us?

 

I could change mine to Gitmo!
