Richmond finally named my main man Steve Trosky as its new SE.
Great for them, he's way more qualified than the guy he replaces.

I told him to kick some ass. Just not mine on days when the frustration got him~!

    Super choice.

Glad to hear that... Steve's a great guy, as was the last guy.

Wouldn't know him if he walked up and punched me in the face, but I've heard nothing but good things.

    congrats, Steve.

The sports section remains in very good hands.

And let me add that a new crop of non-editors in Richmond can now take poker money off their boss.

I was one person away from taking cash off him on Super Bowl Sunday. Instead, I got the loser t-shirt to the person that finishes ninth when the final eight get paid.

    Next year, Strosky. Next year.

Good to hear. And I second the upgrade comment.

I heard his predecessor was a total douche... :D

    That is an inaccurate statement.

He IS a total douche. That hasn't changed. Just his job.

At least some good news came Steve's way during race week in Richmond!

From having shared a few meals and beers with Steve at APSE, I am happy for him.
    Good luck Steve.
