For those who are interested, it only comes on NBC twice this year, and the first time is tonight at 8/7c. Three hours.

The other showing is Christmas Eve.

NBC did a wonderful thing for this movie when it acquired its rights. Before it would come on every day for six weeks leading into Christmas, and 24/7 in the week leading into Dec. 25. Now it only comes on twice, which keeps it from being overexposed to the point of ridiculousness.

"You call this a happy family? Why do we have to have all these kids?"

    Best line of the movie.

"To my big brother George . . . the richest man in town."

Heard the line a million times. And it still gets me.

Atta boy, Joe. Donna Reed is drop-dead beautiful in that movie.

I watched it (again) too, flipping back and forth between "About a Boy" on another network. Discovered some good music, too, I'd never heard of "Badly Drawn Boy" but now I might check them out.
