    Agreed. Schumer is doing the bare minimum to not alienate his biggest donors and the NY power structure. The Democrats know they can protect the veto without him, so he can use this to strengthen his pro-Israel bona fides. The entire thing is a matter of who can afford to alienate the Israel loyalists in the U.S., and Schumer can't.

    It is annoying that he's presented the Republicans with several weeks' worth of "Even the New York liberal Chuck Schumer says...,"and I hope they make him grovel before he gets his promotion, but that's all that's at play here.
