    Or there'll be the editor who forces a reporter to write such a story. And it comes out two days before Rider gets busted for something else.

    ESPN The Magazine already did this piece once. One of the three worst stories I think they've published in a decade of mags.

    You know, I can understand getting suckered in now and then and somehow buying the notion that a guy is getting his act together -- particularly when it seems like the person involved is halfway intelligent and is trying to atone for a mistake.

    But anyone who gets snowed into writing a puff piece on JR Rider absolutely has it coming when JR fucks up and makes the writer look foolish. JR is too stupid to not screw up. It's hard to make good choices when you are too dumb to differentiate good choices from bad choices.
