Lions for Lambs didn't do very well, I don't think.

I suppose you're right that he hasn't had one in a couple of years, but I didn't automatically assume it was because people thought he was radioactive.

Whenever I see A Few Good Men on TV, the channel ain't changing. Haven't seen any of his recent films, not since MI2, but I'll prolly go see Valkyrie.

Lions for Lambs was actually a pretty good film. Cruise was very good in it as was Redford and Streep.

He's a fine actor and a great movie star.

A very interesting film that made me think.

And nobody saw it. I mean, it was a colossal bomb and for really no reason.

Well, there was a reason. Whether it was a good one is up to interpretation.

I can buy your theory that people might have been less likely to go to a Cruise movie because of his weirdness, but this example does not prove your point. This one also had Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. It's not like Cruise was the only name on the marquee.

    Also a contributing factor:

    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/lions_for_lambs/

It has a 28 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

There's a reason the powers that be have dicked around, delaying the release of Valkyrie for far longer time than deemed "usual"
    in the business.

You can smell it, from here.

Tropic Thunder was a horribly unfunny piece of trash.
