Leinart or Leinert or Leinhart or Linehart or Lienhart.

I'd say his career's been over for a while.

    Premature. Jumping the gun.

If Brian St. Pierre beats him out for a spot, then this has legs. Until then, it's too early to be making any sort of assessment of Matt Leinart.

Sounds to me more like they are giving him a kick in the ass. I can't imagine they seriously want to go with St. Pierre as their No. 2.

I'd write off JaMarcus Russell's career as a bust before I'd say the same about Leinart.

At least he's with a real organization with a coaching staff that's worth a hill of beans.

Can you imagine someone who went into a coma in 1989 waking up and being told the Cardinals are a real organization with a coaching staff that's worth a hill of beans? Poor bastard would probably perish from the shock.

"Hello, 1979 person. And welcome to 2009.

Al Davis still runs the Raiders with an iron hand, and hears no arguments as he recycles bad coaches and continues to attempt to win games with speed and nothing else."

Agreed. But I can't imagine the Cardinals are exactly thrilled with spending that kind of scratch on a first-round pick to hold a clipboard.

    Fixed.
The ghost of Timm Rosenbach weeps.
