Fair enough, GBH. A bad slip on my part.

But still ... the "How Far The Mighty Have Fallen" crap is terribly premature.

    Which, interestingly, you created.

    All by yourself.

Cool your heels and r-e-a-d the posts.

Maybe he's not slipping, just really, really ill.

Well, I hope he gets well soon. I'm sure we've all known athletes who've gone through that, and what it can do to their performances.

I read quite well, but thanks for the guidance. Can you s-p-e-l-l?

Your contention about there being posts about "How far the mighty have fallen" would cast doubt on that being a fact.

What else was this thread about, Simon? Unlike you, I'm not trying to be antagonistic ... I'm really asking this question.

    That he has slipped.

Nothing precipitous as your sturm-und-drang denunciations would imply.

I implied nothing. I said what I meant to say. The fact that you want to be excessively antagonistic continues to emerge.

You are right... you didn't imply it.... you flat-out said it.

Yes, I did. I'm not at all hoping that's the case - I like and respect Federer - but writing a story like that didn't epitomize responsibility.

That he's ill would help explain a lot. Kudos to Federer for not using that as an excuse.

Sorry, but I read that as incredulity that people are wondering if he's past it at this point, not saying he is.
