    Giambi got the Comeback Player of the Award right after the BALCO thing came out.

    There was plenty of attention on the Andro thing, though. Sosa was still the favorite most of the way.

    Maris didn't get death threats...Henry Aaron did.

    Sosa was portrayed in the media as everything that was good about baseball -- the fun and childlike joy of the game as well as the power. McGwire was seen as a surly jerk who at best barely tolerated the attention that Sosa reveled in.

    Yes he is, because they didn't go and ask Clemens about his ROIDS use when there were reports that he was using them.
