    How did a great book about soccer fandom in England turn into a bad movie about the Red Sox.


    Somewhere in the Red Sox' photo file is a picture of me, wearing a Nationals shirt and hat, finger extended, enjoying a game at Fenway. Well, enjoying it until Shawn Hill tried to fool Ortiz with a curveball. Sucker broke right into Ortiz' bat and went about 830 feet the other way. With the bases loaded. After that, the night pretty much sucked.

    But there I am on their fanfoto page.
