When I was primarily a high school reporter, I was a stay-at-home working mom -- I got to spend most of the day with my little girl, then went off to work. She was only with sitters a few hours a week. It was great, and I loved having that time to spend with her and teach her. I think it set a very good foundation so that when I was promoted and she was at a day care (it's a small in-home place) a lot more, she had a good base.

  2. Big difference between good day care and bad day care. Just sayin.

I'm in that situation now with my six-month old son. 7-3 with him, 4-1 at the office. It's great to have that kind of time together.
