Doesn't make him a bad person. Lying just comes more naturally to some than others.

Fenian thinks of betrayal more in 1922 terms, not 2002. Although he certainly acknowledges the latter date.

. . . and while the NY Times was bad, primarily due to the infernal Keller/Wolfowitz connection . . . the Washington Post was even worse.

    Way to go, guys.

Rove denies the anecdote and says McLellan was "out of the loop." Ideally, don't you want your press secretary in the loop? Just an idea. Dana Perino says McLellan is a "disgruntled former staffer."

The Bush loyalists are so befuddled because McLellan's displaying something they (and, let's be fair, most political types) have no concept of: shame. They probably thought Lee Atwater was a pinko Commie bastard on his deathbed, too.

    Remain calm. All is well.

GOP claims McClellan has been kidnapped by the borg, and is not sounding like himself.

I think it's time for Ann Coulter or Laura Ingraham to weigh in with a "pudgy little paleface" quip or something.

Glenn Greenwald is excellent on this:

It's a conspiracy including the queen, the Vatican, the Gettys, the Rothchilds AND Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Ooooh, I hated the Colonel with his wee beady eyes and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're going to buy my chicken! Ooooh!" He put a chemical additive in it that made you crave it fortnightly.[/Scottish accent]
