In Newport News, the 3 Daves becomes the 2 Daves today

For the last 30+ years, I've worked with the 3 Daves at the Daily Press - David Teel, Dave Fairbank and Dave Johnson. Unfortunately for us, after today, it'll just be the 2 Daves.

Dave Fairbank is leaving the company, relocating with his wife out of the area. To say the least, he will be missed. And in this day and age, it is nice to see someone with all of his experience going out on his terms, rather than being shown the door involuntarily.

Here is the link to his farewell column.

When and if we're able to replace him, I'll post the relavent information on the jobs forum. As far as I know, there won't be a requirement for the replacement to be named Dave (lame attempt at humor here).

Don't have any connection to sports in that area, but that column was a great read.

  5. I, likewise, have zero connection to that area -- but that was one heck of a farewell column. Congrats to him.
