    Seaman's book (The Last Days of John Lennon) is one of my favorite Lennon books. I don't remember him mentioning Reagan.

    Reagan inspired most of Lennon's best work. That's a known fact. :D

    Not that lyrics have to be historically accurate, but the Iranian hostages weren't taken while flying.

    I don't know what Seaman's credibility is, but it wouldn't be an unfathomable thing. There are plenty of current examples of people changing their outlook, whether it's David Mamet or Dennis Miller. If true, Lennon's final album at least didn't suffer from his new views - Mamet's and Miller's' work has sort of sucked (take away the sort of when talking about Miller) since they found God, er, conservatism.

    I think it's great that the Republicans can now choose from the whole Beatles catalog for the campaign song.
