Interesting leader in the ESPNU Allstate Standings (the fan poll): Illinois sits at No. 1.

Are the Illini stuffing the ballot box? Or does everyone hate Ohio State that much?

It's worth a laugh, at least.

    1. Illinois 5-2
    2. Ohio State 7-0
    3. South Florida 6-0
    4. Boston College 7-0
    5. LSU 6-1
    6. Oklahoma 6-1
    7. Kentucky 6-1
    8. Oregon 5-1
    9. South Carolina 6-1
    10. California 5-1

Not that it means anything, Southern Illinois lost to Northern Iowa yesterday. UNI beat ISU, who beat Iowa, the team that upset Illinois at Kinnick on Saturday.

We now know what Ron Zook was doing instead of formulating a game plan to beat the hapless Hawkeyes. Keep clicking, Ronnie.

Anyone remember that segment on ESPN in March where fans were asked to log on and fill out the entire NCAA Tournament bracket, and then they'd do the "people's poll" on SportsCenter.

Of course, what the fuck did they expect? The majority always had the higher seed beating the lower seed. Every single matchup played to seed up to the Final Four. Everyone has upsets sprinkled in, but ain't no way 52 percent of the country picks a 13 seed over a 4. Morans.

They had to be going through that whole segment saying "Man. This is fucking stupid."
