    Goddamn, I remember the first thing I downloaded off the internets ... it was a picture (taken the same day!!!) from the Oklahoma City bombing ... matter of fact, it was the firefighter and the child.

    Took 45 minutes and it came in line by line.

    And we stood in our tiny little office in Central Newfoundland, huddled around that Mac Classic, and marveled at the amazing technology before us.

    Behold!

    I remember the fustration of a 2400 baud modem only connecting at 1200.

    We sent stories on them.

    I remember sending stories at 300 baud on the TRS-80s. I'm talking 2400 baud for the home computer.
