Cutting Crew wasn't Canadian, was it? The Spoons, featuring the delectable Sandy Horne, played my high school once. Blue Peter (who did the awesome "Radio Silence") and The Dice were two other great Toronto bands of that era.

 

Tragically Hip. But they have no significance past 1996.

Nelly Furtado's Canadian? I'll give you Alanis, too, I suppose. And yes, BNL is made of fail.

 

Furtado hails from Vancouver Island ... same as Pam. How about Lavigne and her hubby's band, Sum 41?
