Guess you're joking somehow, but you do realize BTE mentioned Unitas and Chamberlain because he said he grew up a fan of both. He wasn't saying they died this year.

Muhammad Ali, Arnold Palmer, Prince, David Bowie were all significant and trailblazing athletes and performers.

Many people felt a real strong connection to one or more of them. There weren't just famous people who were on a magazine cover a couple times.

I was able to attend Ali's memorial service. It was pretty awesome.

This place is worse than facebook for the rush for RIPs.

One of these fuckers died this year and there were like six RIP threads at once for him/her.

None of these deaths affect me. And I doubt its because of this board.

Children with cancer - that is a heart jerker for me. George Michael, Prince or Carrie Fisher? No care to me.

To each his own. I am just stating my viewpoint. Other's mileage will vary, obviously.

Nobody is changing anybody else's mind here.

So a kid you don't know dying with cancer affects you, but you get pissy about people saddened by the deaths of celebs they might have enjoyed for decades?

All righty, then. How do you feel about kids dying of malnutrition or bacterial infections or sexual abuse?

Look, it's like he's saying. We don't have to agree with him. I know I don't. But it's his opinion.

In my opinion, 'dexter is kind of a dick. But I guess he likes it that way.
