OK, this might work, and then again, this might crash and burn.

I have always loved the debate about which sporting events would I have attended/covered if I had the chance. A lot of times I will say, "that would have made my ten" when thinking watching a sporting event. Honestly, I do not even know what would makeup my "10."

Thus, the reason for the poll.

You have 10 picks, and you may go back and change them at a later date.

Thanks for participating and bearing with me on this undertaking. I know 136 options are a lot, but I did not want to edit the responses or leave out sports that I may not find interesting.

My first poll. I know. I know. It is a little long.

You need to nuke and start over and just let people list. The poll portion obscures everything else when you call it up - it is way too long. No way I'm going to have or take time to get through that list.
Or not, you can ignore my suggestions and carry on. But I think you will limit the participation as it is set up now.

Agree with Moddy. Nuke the poll and start from scratch.

I'm sorry to be the contrarian, but I like having the long list. It helped me sort things out and compare.

Just go through once and check off possibilities ... then pare it down the second time through.

I found myself going with a lot of older events. I just think it would have been cool to feel the different kind of atmosphere from back then.

Shot, it's too watered down. When I see Alex Zanardi's CART crash on there, it makes me question the validity of it.

Most of these aren't "sporting events".

    They're highlights of sporting events.

Phil's Polldisease is spredding like wildfire.

    It's bordering on ridiculous

    Colts-Giants was in 1958.

    No offense, these polls suck.
