If we're in/going into a recession, how bad will it get?

Welcome to the Depression of 2010-2015.

 

If it's true that the economy goes in cycles, and this is simply a down cycle that sets us up to "begin anew"....

Does anyone think a recession is a good thing?

Mr. Lugz boss thinks we've become way too consumption-driven, boorishly gobbling up everything from energy to cheap crap from China... and that we need to be taken down a peg, essentially. He puts it much better, but you get the point.

I'm not sure I agree that we 'need' to go through a recession because I think poor people suffer....... but it's interesting........

 

"Bosses" are always full of cheery talk about how it's good for the middle/working classes "to be taken down a peg." It's one of those things you can think about while drinking daiquiris at the country club.
