If this doesn't get Batman's Vin Scully story reposted, nothing will...

FYI: That is still the funniest singular post in sj history, and I denounce anyone that says otherwise.

Never seen that clip before. Awesome.

That also didn't look like strike three.

That strike-3 pitch is in the other batter's box.

A much younger Hunter would have went off on Hallion for that.
Now, it's a more subdued "That's a little off the plate, isn't it Tom?"
Tom: "It's borderline, but with 2 strikes, that's tough to pass on that. I owe you the next time up."

I have the post here in all of it's glory, but am not going to steal the show from @Batman.
When he deems fit, he will repost it.
    Again I say.
    The. Funniest. Singular. Post. Ever.

It also takes the SJ awards for Best Original Concept and Best Execution of Live Snark.

It took a lot of knowledge and skill to pull that off. Flows so well, you can hear Scully talking from start to finish.

    So, Best Adapted Script, too!

I can hear Scully's voice, the fly out, the foul ball, the actual scene itself.

The search function isn't working right, but I went through Google to find a repost of it. Here's the story. @Chef2 if you have the link to the original post and want to put it here, that's fine.
And I'm truly humbled that people still remember something that I wrote at, like, 2 a.m. on a weekend night about six years ago.

Impossible to read it and not hear Vin's voice....love the little side comments, mentioning the promo, Beltran's stats....epic work, best post this site has ever seen...would love to know how long it took him to do it, did he scrap a few versions or did that just show up in 10 minutes....
