And George Harrison turns into a 16th-century English playright and pens "Four Gentlemen from Liverpool," the sequel to 'Three Gentlemen from Verona."

I tend to think it could have been much different. From this distant view, it seemed like the life, or at least the fun, was kind of sucked out of The Who when Moon died. he was such an over the top personality, such a fun loving guy, that I think it was infectious to the rest of the band, Townshend in particular. Kept things fresh, alive, unpredictable.

When Kenney Jones came in, just seemed like it become a corporate band, and the rock and roll debauchery was gone. And not in a good way in terms of where the arc of the band could have ended up.

Just some armchair rock and roll psychology from afar.

And Starman's probably right---Moon's shelf life on earth was probably limited anyway. Even if not for the drugs and alcohol, it would have not been surprising to see some stunt gone wrong, car crash or some other accidental mishap taking him away.

It's like if Franklin Roosevelt, Lovitz, Chris Berman and William Shakespeare formed a barbershop quartet.
Berman would blow the whole thing up, of course, since he'd insist on doing Eagles covers on every album.
