I knew that wording wasn't perfect, but I figured you'd know what I mean.

They can express whether they consent by voting the nominee down. That's how it's supposed to work.

You know what makes it difficult to start a business? The fact that health care is really difficult to get for individuals.

And if doctors are going to retire rather than face the possibility they might have to take a 3-year lease on the next BMW instead of a 2-year one -- although I suspect you have no evidence to support this claim whatsoever -- then maybe we don't need doctors like that after all.

Since you're tight with them, would you tell the Senate Republican minority that, please? It would be nice if you would give any kind of indication that you're opposed to what they're doing in that respect.

How old are you, 12? Have you been paying attention to what has gone on in Washington over the last couple of decades? Do you read, watch TV or occasionally pay attenton to noises around you while awake? Politicians have become experts at one thing -- clinging to power by any means necesary. As a result, we have a collection of corrupt assholes who have mastered the art of not being accountable.

And yet the modern middle class in this country was built when the top marginal tax rate in the US was 91%.

And the disparity between rich and poor is larger than at any point since the Great Depression. So please spare me the wholly disingenuous crap about the GOP being the party that wants to allow people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Let them have lotto tickets!

Serious question: How much power do you believe the federal government should have in "fixing" this?
