Hockey for me, too, Babar. For the same reason (grew up in the South, can't skate worth shit.)

And lacrosse (which I got a sniff of in Maryland, but ... again ... moved to the South where nobody plays it.)

And, yes, cricket. ;D

 

Getting really esoteric, but the one sport I've never played that I think I would have loved (and been fairly good at) is Gaelic Football. It's sort of a cross between soccer and rugby. Fantastic sport.

There's actually a team here in town. I need to check that out sometime.

You know, the funny thing is if I were so inclined, there are apparently clubs in my area I could look into if I ever thought about playing cricket again.

There is a large carribean contingent in my part of the country.

 

We have a cricket club up here, GB. We've got a sizeable Indian population with all the tech companies.

 

No better feeling than knowing you've scored a goal and all eyes are on you... I wish I kept with it and that's the regret...

 

I played baseball, opposite of lacrosse. But I wish I could have played both.

I never got a chance to play football in high school, either. That's definitely something I'd trade to do.

 

About 10 years ago, I was at the water park near my hometown ... and about a dozen Euro guys in Speedos were on the beach playing an impromptu game of cricket. I think it weirded a bunch of people out, but I thought it was cool.

Only time I've been within 100 miles of a cricket game, unfortunately. I would have loved to learn how to play.
