I Just Heard Randy Moss Talk For The First Time

New Fox hire Randy Moss in studio at half time of Bucs / Pats. I was shocked. He
was personable, insightful and funny. Also in studio were Ronde Barber and
Brian Ulacher. Barber was a dear in the headlights and Ulacher was a bit stiff.
Moss looked and sounded like he had been there for 10 years.

Even with his twang? I find that surprising.

I was 100% sure this thread was going to be about Moss' redneck accent.

You never watch ESPN's horse racing coverage?

(Yes, that's the Randy Moss I think of first.)

Even with the twang. You'll be surprised. He was back on during 3rd qtr getting peppered with questions from
The Fox booth guys on Brady and Pats offense. He's a natural.

It's funny. I was only listening to the halftime show. I was impressed that they seemed to talk like normal people and not like it was open mike night at The Giggle Shack.

Mike Tice does a weekly segment with Dan Barreiro on KFAN in MSP. They talked about Moss last week, and Tice (and I think Barreiro, can't remember for sure) said he'd do well.

Moss continues to be the surprise of this season.

I'm shocked, especially with him being black and all.

Moss has never sounded stupid. (this is not the same thing as never saying anything stupid). He has done some things that were stupid. People have made a ridiculous deal over some of his antics (see Buck, Joe). But every interview I've ever heard with the man I've come away thinking he was a lot brighter than people probably gave him credit for.

He can't possibly sound as stupid as McNabb has since he started doing broadcasting.

I honestly never heard him interviewed till Friday. My perception of him was clearly
clouded by how he was portrayed by the media. He's clearly going to
be a TV star if he stays with it. Fox has hit a HR. Urlacher and Barber- not so much.
