Micheal Ray Richardson's probably wondering right now why he didn't just point a gun at Darryl Dawkins instead of doing all those drugs.

Moddy, great point about two workers at say a Best Buy drawing on each other.

So what does the NBA do? Ban guns from locker rooms? You never want to give a rule that you do not want to enforce. Kobe gets six months off for leaving his Gloc in his coat? That would never happen.

Metal detectors? Fuck. Outside of an airport, how many people in the first 30 rows of an NBA have ever walked through a metal detector, and these players might need them? Damn.

I guess Gilbert needs some more Under Armour.

Unprecedented in sports history? I highly, highly doubt that. These assholes are just the first dumb enough not to cover it up.

Agreed. And those who give the NBA a second thought will just assume it's the NBA being the NBA. Tiger needs a Jeter sex scandal to escape the tabloids.

i guarantee you that maybe, maybe 1 in 10 non-nba fans would even know about it. 10 in 10 people know about tiger and his woes.

Not that it's the major issue at hand here, but are NBA players also officially prohibited from gambling? Obviously they can't bet on the NBA, but what about a poker game or whatever this was? (To say nothing of the fact that it's illegal, of course.)

  8. TMZ had Chan Ho Park suing Chad Kreuter the other day as a banner headline.

If there is any sort of official acknowledgement of a showdown at the O.K. Corral in an NBA locker room, it is going to get humongous in a hurry.

guns are banned from NBA locker rooms, as per the collective bargaining agreement.

Has ESPN acknowledged this story yet?

It's been on the crawl. And they're actually crediting other media outlets. I guess Scoop Jackson hasn't confirmed it yet.

Didn't Charles Oakley bitch-slap Tyrone Hill over an unpaid gambling debt many years ago? Guess the handguns were out getting cleaned that day. Or Oak doesn't need one.

Too bad Butler or Jamison or Stephenson didn't pull out his pistol and make it a three-sided Quentin Tarantino standoff.
