Thing that pisses me off is that when HPV was viewed as a women's problem, it was stigmatized as an STD and the vaccine was trumpeted as something only promiscuious women wanted. Instead of considering the health and well-being of girls and women, you can consider them the next contestants on Girls Gone Wild, according to the vocal minority.

But watch: Now that this affects men, the stigma will be removed, those who get the vaccine will be labled "responsible" and insurance companies will be more than happy to cover the cost of the shots.

 

My wife (then girlfriend) went through all the stuff mentioned above - first an irregularity, then a biopsy, then the C word, then a leap, then some more stuff - it was scary shit, more so for her. The worst part for me was no sex for weeks at a time, but it was worth it so she's okay now.

She is adamant that if and when we have a daughter, she'll be vaccinated ASAP.
