How to investigate a segment of the blogosphere?

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by TopOfTheCircle, Mar 6, 2007.

  1. There exists now a circle of weblogs who seem to only exchange information within its circle while ignoring everything else as well as going to blogs who oppose their point of view and viciously jump all over them.

Is there any way a journalist, much less a police officer or prosecutor, can investigate or expose these people given the privacy laws endemic amongst internet service providers these days?

The leprechaun tells me to burn things.

  3. Not sure why you want to. Are they doing anything illegal, or are they just disagreeable?

Ethically it's borderline, but you could create a similar blog and try to get invited into the circle.

Is a person posts on a blog and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?
