I have four female friends. Four.
One is my best friend. She is 50 and has been in this rotten biz for 30 years. She has been more a mentor than anything but my life would be nothing without her in it.
One is my softball team's organizer. She has been a beacon of balance in these many unbalanced months of the last year.
One has listened to me through the destruction of my last relationship. She was through a similar experience and knew exactly what to say.
One is 10 years younger than me and she reminds me what it's like to be young and carefree. We giggle with each other endlessly.

The other six are all male.
    Women generally don't 'get' me.

A little bit of a tangent, probably, but I'll go on it anyway.

Hard to have friends in this business. Most of us have egos, no matter what we do. Egos sometimes involve things like envy and jealousy. And we're always competing to move to the top, especially early on.

Aren't egos closely associated with being arrogant and obnoxious? [/sarcasm]

Hell, I'm obnoxious. At least some people I know would say that.

Add insecurity to that list, too.

Determining between pepperoni and sausage on your pizza is often a life-altering decision.

Not in any way, shape or form. Trust me.

And take it off the threads, guys, before people get pissy again. I don't want another hostile day on the threads tomorrow.
