How the hell is Steve McNair on the bubble?!?

What's with ESPN.com's page 2 "Cantonized" listing the 50 current players who will make the HOF? That list is whack, straight whack.

Steve McNair is on the bubble? You gotta be kidding me! And guys like Matt Leinart and Anquan Boldin are in the top 50? I'm confused.

The question that should be posed: If so and so suffered a career ending injury today, would he be inducted into the Hall of Fame?

    Steve McNair. Yes.

Ummm ... why not? He has an MVP. Is there an NFL MVP who isn't in Canton?

One good season doesn't equate to a HoF career.

And no, I don't have McNair's number memorized. But never have I thought he was one of the top 3-4 QBs at any time of his career.

I have no idea what those numbers mean without the column headers.

I think Leinart on that list questions the integrity of it a little bit, considering he starter what, seven or eight games last season? There has to be some sort of prerequisite aside from being in the NFL; maybe three to five years' experience.

Jamal Lewis should have had consideration for MVP over Peyton and McNair that year. He nearly broke the single-season rushing record and played an important role on the Ravens, who had no other good player. Peyton always has people, McNair had a good receiving tandem. Lewis had nobody around him that year.

No other good offensive player, aside from Ogden.
