    I also think people have a tendency to overdo the whole hero-warrior thing even with the military. Not everyone who dies in Iraq is a hero. There are plenty of assholes out there who die when their Humvee goes into a ditch.

  4. When people look back and wonder where this thread went off the rails, I think it might be here, even if what FDP says is true.
    Hugh Thompson and William Calley both fight in the same war on the same day in the same place.
    Both heroes?
