How do you feel about Candace Parker's C-cup being referenced in this lede?

If Kenny Mayne asked Erin Andrews her cup size he would be fired by ESPN for sexual harassment.

Funny some here have suggested that ESPN the Mag was trying to move out of the basement by bringing such high caliber writers like Chris Jones and Jeff Mcgregor. Guess they still have a way to go.

They have some tremendous writers, some are among the best in the business. The fact of the matter is, this lede never should have made it into print and if someone else had written it, they almost certainly would have been fired.

Taking it one step further, if ESPN was not paying rights fee for WNBA broadcast rights they would not ever bother to try and reinvent the prevailing WNBA image.

The NBA and WNBA has almost always been a "buy one, get one free" deal. Any network that wants to be in bed with the NBA needs to show some love to the WNBA. It's the only reason why the league still exists.

You mean like the infamous "the following players are married" press release sent out by the WNBA a few years back?

Link to that press release, please?

Did it say if they were married to men or women?

If I ran the WNBA, I would eliminate the hyphened names on jerseys that run from one rib cage up and around the shoulders and down to the other rib cage and impossible to read. Pick a friggin name!!

Just curious as to how this thread reached 10 pages considering everything else that has happened in the past week. I hadn't read this in a few days but did notice it continuing to grow (no pun intended).

So a woman should drop half her name cause men can't handle her having two? Seriously? And what about people who have hyphenated last names from their parents? Pick one? Good lord.
